Alright everyone, listen up!!
Latest Instrument Drop Off On Thursday 4/16/09 Ear Candy dropped off some instruments to the students at Copper Canyon Academy. The kids were ecstatic to receive a piano and guitars for the classroom. The picture above makes all of Ear Candy’s efforts worthwhile!!! Our First Grant Drum roll please…Ear Candy submitted its first grant application and we got it!!! The organization will receive $3,000 from the Social Venture Partners Teen program. The funds will be used to develop the Teen Central Music Program at the Burton Barr Library in Downtown Phoenix. These dollars go a long way and will make a significant impact on hundreds of kids, literally!!! Looks like we need to start submitting some more grant proposals…we’re onto something MASSIVE here!!!
McDowell Mountain Music Fest – THIS FRIDAY/SATURDAY Ear Candy has a large presence at McDowell Mountain Music Festival this weekend and you won’t want to miss out on it. We have our own Acoustic Stage featuring 11 local artists who support the Ear Candy mission. Additionally we’ll be collecting instrument donations and raising funds via silent auctions and raffles. And you won’t want to miss Ear Candy’s Founder introducing the Flaming Lips to thousands of music lovers on Saturday night, priceless stuff.
